Here are a variety of basketball specific movement drills we use with our players on a daily basis. We use them as part of our warm-up as well as in the workout itself. These exercises and drills improve movement on the court (proper footwork and jumping/landing mechanics) as well as strengthen and increase the functional mobility of the ankles and feet. While we certainly aim to make our players stronger and more powerful… they have to be able to move well to be effective!
Many of our movement training concepts originated from our friend and colleague, Coach Todd Wright (University of Texas)! .
